A Women’s Retreat for Reconnecting with Joy, Creativity, Playfulness & the Girl You Used to Be

November 6–9, 2026 | Sandbridge Beach, Virginia

Because life was never meant to be all responsibility.

Remember when you laughed until your stomach hurt?

When you created something simply because it was fun?

When you danced without wondering who was watching, made new friends without overthinking it, stayed up too late talking, got messy, explored, dreamed, and played?

Then life got full.

Careers. Motherhood. Relationships. Schedules. Responsibilities. Expectations.

And somewhere along the way, many of us became really good at being adults—and forgot how much we needed the parts of ourselves that existed before everything became so serious.

Remember Her is your permission to play again.

For four days and three nights, we’ll step away from everyday responsibilities and reconnect with joy, curiosity, creativity, friendship, and the wonderfully imperfect parts of ourselves that don’t need to accomplish anything to be worthy of our time.

You don’t need to become a different woman.

You just get to remember her.

What You'll Experience

This retreat blends meaningful self-discovery with something we don’t make nearly enough room for as adults:

FUN.

We’ll explore our inner child and the experiences that shaped us, but we’ll also laugh, create, move, play, be spontaneous, and let ourselves experience joy without needing to justify it.

Expect women’s circles and conversations that help you understand yourself on a deeper level alongside creative experiences, nostalgic activities, morning movement, time near the ocean, and plenty of opportunities to simply enjoy being with other women.

There will be moments that make you think.

There will be moments that make you feel.

And there will be plenty of moments that make you laugh until your cheeks hurt.

Because growth doesn’t always have to feel heavy.

Sometimes healing looks like remembering how to play.

Your Permission to Play

When we’re children, play comes naturally.

We create without worrying whether we’re talented.

We dance without wondering how we look.

We make friends because someone seems fun.

We explore because we’re curious.

Then adulthood teaches us to measure our time by productivity.

This weekend is an opportunity to challenge that.

What did you love before you started worrying whether it was useful?

What made you feel alive?

What have you stopped doing because you thought you had outgrown it?

Who were you before the world became so loud about who you were supposed to be?

We’ll make room for her again.

Connection & Sisterhood

You are absolutely welcome to come alone.

In fact, many of the women who attend our retreats arrive without knowing anyone.

We know walking into a house full of strangers can feel intimidating. That’s why connection is intentionally woven throughout the entire experience.

Our women’s circles, shared meals, creative activities, laughter, late-night conversations, and playful experiences have a way of turning strangers into friends surprisingly quickly.

There is no pressure to perform, impress, or fit in.

Come exactly as you are.

Maybe You’ve Been Waiting for Permission

Permission to take a weekend for yourself.

Permission to make new friends.

Permission to laugh loudly.

Permission to be ridiculous.

Permission to create something badly and love doing it anyway.

Permission to stop worrying about whether you’re being productive.

Permission to choose joy simply because joy feels good.

You don’t need permission from anyone else.

But if you’ve been waiting for someone to remind you—

this is it.

Come remember the girl who knew how to play.

Come remember the woman who still does.

Remember Her.

About your Women’s Retreat Host:

Hi beautiful!

I’m Nicole Hennessy , a certified life coach and therapeutic art coach.

Let me tell you where it all began. After 20 years of doing absolutely nothing for myself (hello, mom life), fully focused on taking care of my family and kids… I finally gave myself permission to go on a women’s retreat.

It changed my life forever.

When I came back, I was calmer, happier, more confident, and surprisingly, way more patient with my kids. It’s funny how taking a break and caring for yourself can make you an even better mom, partner, and friend.

That one retreat inspired me to create a space where other women could feel the same shift, and that is how The Hennessy’s House Retreats were born. We are now over 8 retreats in the last 4 years!

But here’s the catch: I’m not your average “wellness girly.” I don’t live and breathe green juice and daily sun salutations. I’m big on balance. We are not meant to be one thing; we’re layered, messy, soft, strong, wild, and tender all at once.

I’m spiritual, but I welcome all beliefs (seriously, who am I to say I know what’s out there with certainty?). And yes, I cuss; if that offends you, I respect that. But I encourage you to show up exactly as you are, without fear of judgment, so I expect the same in return. Kisses.

Why am I telling you all this? Because you have to decide if my vibe is the right retreat host for you.

I will give you tools.
I will cry with you.
I will hold space so you feel safe to be your most authentic self.

But I will also sing terrible karaoke with you at night (wine in hand), laugh until we snort, hype you up before your boudoir shoot, and tell you just how hot and powerful you are, (and how good your ass looks).

I’m playful and kind. I’m safe, and I’ll encourage you to take wild risks. I will never judge you, because that’s exactly what’s wrong with the world.

I cannot wait to meet the version of you that feels wild, free, and deeply loved.

Trust me when I tell you, I know how scary it can be to do something new.
But don’t fear, you’re in great hands.

This is the break you have been asking for and now it’s your turn to courageously give yourself permission to take care of yourself…(Well actually, I’ll be taking care of you).

It’s your turn to show up and say YES to being a calmer more balanced mom.
